WIRELESS ERA
06.14.05 (12:51 pm)   [edit]

Nokia, Ericksen, Motrola, NEC are out to get the hard earned money of the consumers.  Sony is now joining them to get a share of the revenues to be generated by these expensive phones.  Thus sony and Ericksen have announced the introduction of their SonyErickson Walkman Brand Mobile Phone W600 which has a memory 256GB. It is said to be a watered down version of Walkman Brand W 800. It is not yet available in Stores which will start carrying them in a few months. I don't know the price of this Brand Mobile Phone.  However NEC c606, manufactured in Korea and sold by Hong Kong based Singapore Telecommunication, is priced at about $575.

If these phones are going to be capable of making mobile phone Calls or storing music there is no justification of making them with the sole intention of increasing the revinue. All the Phone makers are very notorius. They only see money signs and are always thinking of finding ways of increasing the revenues through newer and newer products.

Sony is not known to be in Mobile Phone business although it does make a variety of products. Since it lacks the mobile phone knowhow it's collabrating with Ericksen to make a mobile phone Walkman Brand W 600 although it already has more advanced Walkman Brand W800.

Although these phone Companies are constantly introducing newer mobile phones they are not making a killing by way of profits. As a matter of fact their only profits come from the sales of Wireless Handheld Devices.

If these phone Companies are going to make profits, they will have to change their BUSINESS MODEL. They will have to find NEW AND UNIQUE ways to put their Mobile Phones to use. These phones have great abilities by way of  the uses that they are capable of. For example they are capable of voice communications which is as they should be. But they are also capable of send text messages and of sending Data. The telephone companies are not making use of this ability of their higher priced mobile phone models.

This is why I'm making this blog. I'm hoping to get the phone companies to donate $5Million each to provide start up capital to me to create new and Unique uses for these Mobile Phones.

The new and Unique use of these phones is the Brosing of the Internet. Presently these phones can't be used to Browse the internet because of the way internet is browsed. To enable these phones to Browse the Internet the way of Browsing the internet has to be changed.

This has to be done to rewrite the Source Code for the Internet Browser so as to change the roles of the Clients and Servers so that the Servers will no longer be required to send any documents as ipresently the case. Similarly the role of the Clients will be changed so that their sole role would be to send data to the Servers.

When this is done the Hackers will be put out of the business and the internet service will become superfast. Presently the net internet service is no faster than the net speed of the conventional internet service inspite of the boasting of Verizon, and other Internet Service Providersunless the only browsing activity of the client is browsing. The reason is lack of multitasing since the Clients are capable of serving only one client owner. If the internet service becomes Server based, as I'm proposing, the multitasking can be introduced because the Server is capable of serving many users.

Because of the lack of the multitasking all the speed advantage of DSL or broadband or, for that matter T1 lines is lost because the processor remains idle between ticks because the client process or is waiting for processing instructions and or for data.

So I hope I can draw the attention of the mobile phone manufacturers for the need to develop the New Broser. I can be reached at newerawisp@rediffmail.com

Presently, because of the lack of multitasking,

EXPENSIVE MOBILE PHONES
06.14.05 (12:43 pm)   [edit]

The mobile phones are being based upon spectrums with higher and higher spectrums. Only recently Nextel was the only mobile Phone service Provider that was using Spectrums having frequencies of 800MHz. Verizen and Cingular had Spectrums having frequencies of 1900MHz+. Cingular and Verizon are very Notorious. They acquire all the 1900MHz spectrum they can lay their hands on at cost of billions of Dollars. Verizon and Cingular originally acquired their 1900MHz+ spectrums from FCC by being suceesful in the biding. Then Cingular acquired additional 1900MHz spectrum by acquring the money loosing Wireless Phone Operations of AT&T wireless and paid AT&T Wireless some &1900 for each AT&T subscriber (for each of about 23 Million Subscribers). Verizon and Cingular also acquired the 1900MHz+ spectrum owned bystart up Neext Wave Communications (it did not have capital to commence offering the mobile phone business.

Only Nextel had no 1900 MHz Spectrum. So it found out an excuse to ask the FCC to exchange its 800MHz spectrum and trade it for 1900MHz+ spectrum. The excuse? It complained of interference.

This 1900 MHz spectrum has already become outdated. The phone service Providers are now vying for 2000MHz spectrum which is being called 3rd Generation Spectrum.

However thiese Broadband Spectrums are being used exclusively for mobile communications inspite of the efforts of FCC Internet Service Taskforce. As a matter of fact this task Force made an INQUIRE last year as to whether FCC iProvides enough Broadband Spectrum for the use of High Speed Internet service. I was the only person who made comments and reply Comments stating that the Broadband Spectrums are being usely solely for the purpose of mobile Communications. The internet service is still based on Wi-Fi technology that is based on very low frequency (like 2MHz+)  spectrums All other commenters boasted about their technologies for the high data transfer rates achieved by them without mentioning that these data transfer rates are not achieved through the use of broadband spectrums.

In my earlier blog entry I stated them I'm trying to create an Internet service that could be accessed by the use of mobile phones that are based upon the presently used 1900MHz+ spectrums and that would later be based on 3rd generation spectrums (2000MHz+ spectrums.

My efforts are being hampered due to lack of Capital. The mobile phone makers are making huge losses due primarily to the fact that their customers are mobile phone service providers who tend to pay low prices for the purchase of mobile phones in bulk for giving them away to clients who would sign contracts for the mobile phone service.

The mobile phone manufacturers are trying to change the situation by making higher priced mobile phones that have amenties like hard disks and music storage abilities so as to entice people to buy these expensive newer mobile phone model.

These mobile phone manufacturers will have a better luck selling these expensive mobile phones if they finance my efforts to create a new Internet Browser that will be server based rather than being client based as is presently the case.

When this is done the internet service surfers will no longer have to spend $3000 for buying 802.11 chip equipped laptops and they would be glad to spend $575 for a mobile phone if it could be used for surfing the Internet.
